Abound Employee Summit – The Spirit of Aloha
In a world that can often feel isolating and divided, it’s more important than ever to come together and feel part of something larger. Our team was so fortunate to have the opportunity to do just that as we hosted our Employee Summit! We laughed, cried, and left feeling more connected than ever before. It was an extraordinary event, and we’re so grateful to have had the chance to experience it together.
Like most Abound Health events, the theme of our Employee Summit was the ‘The Spirit of ‘Aloha’. Aloha is more than just a word, it is a way of life. It is our way of showing compassion and kindness to others, of working together in harmony, and of approaching every situation with a positive attitude. From wearing Hawaiian shirts to ornate decorations of pineapples and flowers, the spirit of Aloha was hard to miss.
We had the unique opportunity to come together and learn from each other and some fantastic guest speakers. We learned more about our strengths and weaknesses, and how we all can work better together. Through stories, laughter, and tears, we were able to connect with each other on a deeper level and remember why we do the work that we do.
We were also incredibly lucky to hear from some of our clients. One in particular, Matthew Schwab, told his incredible story of his entrepreneurial journey and obstacles along the way. He spoke about how he is more than just his diagnosis and how his Abound staff has helped him along the way. It was a powerful reminder of our mission to empower others.
It’s moments like these that make us proud to be part of the Abound Health community. We were reminded of why we do the work that we do and how important it is to fight for quality healthcare for all. We’re so grateful to have such an amazing team—and community—to support us along the way.
