Celebrating the Class of 2022

All across the country, students are putting on their caps and gowns and receiving their diplomas. Graduation is an exciting time for students and their families. It’s a time to reflect on all that has been accomplished and to look ahead to all the possibilities that lie ahead.

Students with intellectual disabilities graduate from high school at lower rates than their peers without disabilities, often because they do not receive the necessary supports and services. However, a growing number of schools are beginning to offer specialized programs that help students with intellectual disabilities earn their diplomas. These programs typically include modifications to the curriculum and teaching methods, as well as extra supports such as social skills training and career counseling.

As a result, more students with intellectual disabilities are now able to walk across the stage on graduation day. In addition to providing graduates with a sense of accomplishment, these programs also help to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge they need to lead successful lives after high school.

Here at Abound Health, we are proud to say that we have several members of the class of 2022. From high school to college, our clients are ready to take on the world. We wish them all the best in their future endeavors, and we know that they will make us proud. Congratulations, graduates! We can’t wait to see what you’ll do next.
