Abound Clients Featured in Sertoma Arts Center

We are so excited to announce that our clients will be featured in the Sertoma Arts Center this month! The gallery will feature pieces handmade by our very own clients, showcasing their many abilities. We believe that art is a powerful therapeutic tool and are thrilled to see the results on display for all to see.

The Sertoma Arts Center is part of a collective that works towards making the arts accessible to all individuals. Located in Raleigh, this center is dedicated to inclusivity and advocacy, which provides artistic opportunities for those with disabilities.

Our most inspiring moments at our Day Programs are when our clients realize how much progress they’ve made. Art is a powerful tool for healing and it is our privilege to see the positive impact it can have on our clients’ lives. The creative process gives them a sense of control and helps them to express themselves in a safe and healthy way. We have seen individuals make remarkable progress through art therapy. It is an honour to be a part of their journey and to witness the healing power of art.

Client’s artwork is displayed in the main lobby and includes handmade pendant charms made in the Raleigh Day Program. The gallery is free and open to the public throughout the month of October. We would like to invite you to come and support our clients for a live viewing on Friday, October 14th 2nd from 11am-12pm.
