North Carolina Services
In North Carolina, Abound Health provides a range of services to individuals of all ages with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
Abound Day Programs are dedicated to learning and skills development. Each program is defined by a safe, positive and social environment. Our programs offer a wide array of activities including vocational & living skills development, art therapy, recreation and community-based activities. Our centers are modern and inviting with multiple rooms to accommodate each person’s needs whether that be sensory therapy or space for specialized equipment. Find out more here.
Group Homes can be a major step for empowering independence and building a community for those we serve. Our homes provide all of the support our residents need – mental, physical and emotional. Each person has their own bedroom, with meals and activities provided in a common area. Residents share responsibilities and learn life skills including cooking and cleaning. Staff are present for residents 24/7 supporting them with their everyday needs. Find out more here.
Alternative Family Living or Host Homes provide a caring and family-like setting with full 24/7 support. Find out more here.
The goal of the Innovations Waiver is to allow individuals to live in the community with as much independence as possible. Available throughout North Carolina, Innovations Waiver can provide one-on-one services and supports for each participant, based on the individual’s assessed needs. Find out more here.
We offer a full range of B3 & State Funded services. Our team is here to help you navigate your benefits and create a care plan that works for your needs. Find out more here.
Some of our best days at Abound are when we celebrate our clients getting a job in their community and earning their own income. We work with employers and our job coaches to find the right job fit for each individual we serve. Abound has a team dedicated to developing long-term relationships with businesses who hire individuals with disabilities. Our job coaches work one on one with clients to apply, interview and prepare for jobs. The coach will support the individual on the job as long as needed. Find out more here.
Supported by a Medicaid Waiver Program, we offer rehabilitative services and support to help individuals who have experienced a traumatic brain injury. The funding provides services & supports that enable individuals to choose an alternative to nursing facility care or specialty rehabilitation hospital care. Our services are provided in the home or community and are tailored to the individual’s choices and plan-based needs. Find out more here.
